Where do I find my saved songs on Smule?

Videos can be downloaded from Smule directly from within the iOS app. Just use the “Share Video” option with the Facebook/YouTube logo on the button. The Instagram button also works, but opens Instagram after the download. Both options will download the video to your device.

Audio files can’t be downloaded from within the app—but you can use our Smule Downloader page. But keep in mind that iOS doesn’t give other apps direct access to your music library. If you want to have your songs there, you need to download them to a desktop computer first and then add them to iTunes there. After that you can sync the songs with your iOS device.

It seems kind of random which songs have the YouTube link which allows you to save to your device and which ones don’t. I’ve heard it has something to do with differing licensing agreements. Anyway ...

I’ve had success using the smule downloader from Sing.salon to save videos to my iCloud (Files) and from there, save them to my device. Sorry this is too wordy because I’m not good with technology and don’t know how to explain.

1) Go to the Download page here on Sing.salon. Type/paste the link to the performance in the box. I use the “copy link” feature within the smule app (it’s in the same place where you would find the “share video” link if it was actually there) to copy the link and just paste it in.

2) Tap “Fetch data for this performance”.

3) Tap “Download video”. The video will play in the same window.

4) To the right of the box where the URL is ... mine reads c-ash.smule.com ... there is a blue square with an up arrow. Tap this square and scroll up to “Save to files”.

5) Select a folder in Files and save.

6) From Files, you can select and save the video back to your device, again by tapping the blue square with a up arrow and tap “Save video”. It will save to the Photo roll on your device.

Hopefully, this works for others. I’m not sure if there is a better/easier way to save directly to your device. It’s kind of a pain, but it’s worth it if you really don’t want to lose a performance. Big thanks to Sing.salon for providing this service.

How do you add songs to your playlist on Smule?

Go to the three-dotted menu on the top right of any performance you want to add to your collection. Select “Add To Playlist.” Next, choose whether to add a song to an existing playlist, or create a new one by clicking the “New Playlist” button. You can always go back and edit the title of your playlist if you'd like.

When I don't renew my subscription in Smule What will happen to my tracks uploaded?

You can not cancel the current active subscription period. Once your subscription expires, you will no longer be able to play songs you downloaded while you were a subscriber.

Can you see who viewed your Smule?

No, you can't see who's listening. It'll show you how many times it's been played, but not who has been playing it. The only thing you can see is who is liking and commenting on the songs.
