    When replacing an iPhone display, be it a genuine or an aftermarket, certain information is stored on the display. As you can see in the photo below, the display was replaced without transferring the data and True Tone is not available.

    If this is an issue you have experienced, take the phone back to the repair shop and asked for the data to be transferred, if they do not have the machine ask for the original broken screen and take it along with your iPhone to a professional repair shop that can do the migration.

    Did you replace the screen, or have it replaced by someone other than Apple? That’s the most common reason for losing True Tone (and also automatic brightness).

    Hello. The iPhone 11 Pro Max supports True Tone. If you would like to turn on True Tone, you can do so at Settings > Display & Brightness > True Tone. If True Tone is unavailable, it may be disabled by an accessibility setting such as Invert Colors, Grayscale, and Increase Contrast.

    Check Settings → Display and Brightness. If your device supports TrueTone, the option will be just below the brightness slider. If the option isn’t there, then your device doesn’t support TrueTone.

    You can use True Tone with these devices: iPhone 8 and later,

    In addition to that, some accessibility settings will disable truetone.

    And if you have replaced your screen at a third-party repair shop not affiliated with apple it might also be disabled.
