And yet kaido is begging for death, not from a lack of weakness, but in his own words " I'm tired of this boring world" The hype behind Kaido as a villian defies logic. His intro starts with the beast, trying to end his own life, while people like Urouge the mad monk are trying to stay alive. What follows next incomprehensible, as he survives a fall of 10000 metres, and still in shape to dispatch 3 formidable rookies of the worst generation who where plotting after all, to take down a yonko. In this formidable show of strength, we are at least made known that he was defeated 7 times, and captured by the marines a couple of times as well. I thought we could humanize this persona a little and destroy that myth of invincibility, after all our man Luffy will fight the guy, and he could learn a thing or two. Gol. D. Roger ; The man who conquered the grand line. I strongly believe he defeated Kaido. If there was a pirate who could do it, it was him. Kaido seems intent on replicating his success, and has gone out of his way of attacking his former crew members, and allies as well. maybe fueled also by revenge, who knows. Whitebeard ; The strongest man in the world especially after his rival's passing, Roger. There is no way he got that title without clashing horns with top brass like kaido. Unfortunately, what we got to see was, old, sickly and dying whitebeard, and not the vintage man in his youth but what he did in marineford, bears testament to his strength. Kaido, bid his time and waited to attack the old man, who was on the way to save his son. I think Kaido was after revenge, i mean why will he attack only at that time. what was the gain. Garp (the Fist) ; i believe he is the strongest marine ever, and with kaido captured a couple of times by the marines, i can't think of any other person up to the task of defeating kaido. it would be a sweet twist of fate if this was the case, and his grandson got to defeat a one time rival, just like with chinjao. Shanks ; Yea, u heard me. He foiled Kaido's plans of stopping wb. i don't think Kaido backed down like akainu upon his arrival, or he retreated without a fight, after he displaced himself to attack wb. there had to be an all out fight between the two. Now while the probability may be that is a draw, i believe it to be a kaido defeat, at least by intent. since his initial plan was foiled. To think that Eustass Kid planned on taking down shanks with all his crew behind, when they couldn't even defeat kaido, alone is funny to say the least Big mom ; Yea i know lola screwed up things for her with the whole titan marriage annulment stuff, but she told luffy point blank that "nobody can kill that thing" from big mom, with conquerors haki, a strong crew of epic proportions, as well as the soru soru no mi must mean that she must have fought kaido some time in her youth, and tried killing him but to no avail. her love for strange beast makes this theory not far fetched. Shiki the Golden Lion ; Forget about that movie, luffy defeating shiki is pure fantasy and makes a nice fan fiction. Shiki almost annihilated Roger, and was crazy enough to break into impel down to kill Roger, just bc the idea of the marines killing his rival was disgusting to him. He couldn't stand it. and when Garp and sengoku stopped him, He become the first person to break out of impel down as well. he's in my list of one of the pirates of the old era to defeat kaido. Dragon ; The most wanted man in the world, he certainly didn't get there by his opposition to the celestials alone, as he's bent on making everyone known that there is only one dragon, but i believe his fighting prowess alone has made him a force to reckon with, as akainu choose to eliminate luffy first before ace, and will not give up even after wb's snake beatings on him. Dragon awakens fear in the upper echelons of the military, and while he's not a pirate, i doubt he may not have clashed with kaido, with his top commanders who have developed a reputation for causing civilian destruction. this is my list, tell me yours......!!!  Monkey D. Luffy defeated Kaido. Luffy and Kaido fought on two different occasions. Luffy first fought with Kaido when Kaido had destroyed Oden's castle. Ace and himself are a few of the people who carry the Will of D. Luffy has fought a lot of people over the course of the anime starting from pirates of the East Blue to even the Four Emperors of the Grand Line. Kaido, also known as 'Kaido of the Beasts' and the 'Strongest Creature', is the Governor General of the Beast Pirates. He was also one of the Four Emperors of the Sea and ruled over the New World. He also is Yamato's father and is the main antagonist of the Wano City Arc as well. His bounty was considered the highest in the series after Gol D. Roger. Even when he started out as a pirate he was quite formidable and he grew stronger each day and became one of the strongest creatures on the Grand Line. The fight between Monkey D. Luffy and KaidoThe second time when Luffy and Kaido clashed, Luffy remembered all the cruelties and problems that were faced by the people of Wano and got very angry. He vented out by powering his attack with his Busoshoku Haki, and then he attacked Kaido and caused damage. He then told Kaido that he'll surpass him and become the next King of the Pirates. Kaido retaliated by attacking Luffy but Luffy dodged the attack and hit back at Kaido which made his nose bleed. Kaido was surprised at how Luffy could land an attack on him and was impressed with how Luffy didn't give up easily. When Big Mom was attacking Luffy, Kaodo launched another attack at him but Law managed to teleport Luffy just in time. Law and the other Pirates of the Worst Generation tried to attack Kaido but he transformed into his Dragon form and flew high up in the sky to join Big Mom. Luffy then walked up to Kaido and hit him with his Gomu Gomu no Kong rifle and managed to injure Kaido. Kaido retaliated but was again surprised that Luffy was not injured one bit. Luffy revealed that it was his guts that saved him and then hit Kaido with his Gomu Gomu no Gatling. After being a bit beaten by Kaido, Law and Killer tried to attack Kaido but he defended himself against them by creating tornados. When he and Luffy clashed again, their battle got heated and serious. Luffy eventually found out how Kaido infused his Haoshoku Haki in his attacks and he even pointed out that only a few people could do it including himself. He then tried to hit Luffy with his kanabo but Luffy blocked it. Luffy then repeatedly started hitting Kaido without touching him and finally managed to knock him down. Kaido noticed that Luffy's smile kept increasing as the fight became riskier and he started to think of Luffy as Joy Boy. Despite Luffy's new ability, Kaido was able to beat him and throw him off the roof. As he was fighting his daughter Yamato, Luffy activated his Snakeman to attack Kaido. Kaido then decided that he should transform into his full form to fight Luffy and eventually Yamato left so that Luffy and Kaido could fight alone. Throughout the fight, Kaido was losing a lot of strength and he began to drink so that he could enter his aggressive fighting form. Despite this, Luffy managed to block and dodge Kaido's attacks. Suddenly in the middle of their fight a CP0 agent intervened in the fight and seemingly killed Luffy. Kaido declared Luffy dead. Luffy wasn't really dead, his heartbeat was spreading around the whole castle and his crew rejoiced at the fact that he was still alive. On the other hand, in the Holy Land of Mary Geoise, the Five Elders wonder if the agent they sacrificed was the right option and this makes Kaido very angry. The Elders then reveal that the World Government has been looking for the Gomu Gomu devil fruit for almost 800 years, but it somehow manages to avoid them. This is when the real truth is revealed, that the Gomu Gomu fruit is in reality a Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit called the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika. This devil fruit gives the user the properties of rubber in combat, but in reality, it is said that it helps strengthen their rubbery body exponentially and grants them more freedom to a God-like level, which makes this devil fruit the most powerful one out there. In another part, Yamato and Zunesha tell Momonosuke that Luffy is Joy Boy. As the fight continues on the rooftop, Luffy says that he can go on longer and then declares his new form 'Gear 5'. With this new form, Luffy releases a lot of Haoshoku Haki and easily knocks out many Beast Pirates before extending his enlarged hand and grabbing Kaido (who is in his dragon form) and dragging him back to the rooftop. He then tightly wrapped his arm around him and swung him, slamming him into the surface back and forth. Kaido admits that he's happy that Luffy is still alive before firing his Bolo Breath at him. Luffy then transforms into rubber and defects the fire back at him. Kaido recovers from his attacks and Luffy gets ready to finish off his fight with Kaido once and for all.
