Can you link Instagram from Facebook?

If you have multiple pages on both platforms and you want them all connected together, you’ll have a little more work to do.

First, make sure your Facebook profile (your personal profile, not the page) owns, or has admin access, to all the relevant Facebook pages. You’ll be able to share to your own profile, or to any of the pages you manage.

On Instagram, in the app, you need to make sure to sign in to all the profiles you want to connect into a single account. You can have up to 5 profiles signed in at the same time. Then go into your Settings, as described above, and scroll right to the end to the Logins section. Click the link to set up multi-account login, and choose one of the listed profiles to be the username and password that you use to sign in.

When you do this, anyone who signs into that profile will get access to all the connected ones, so be careful if you share login details with your team.

To link Instagram to Facebook, open Instagram and go to your profile page. Tap Menu (≡) > Settings > Accounts Center > Set up Accounts Center > Add Facebook account. Log in with your Facebook account and choose what you want to sync between both accounts.

How to disconnect your Facebook account from Instagram

If you wish to unlink your Facebook account from Instagram, return to the Accounts Center by opening the Menu by tapping the ≡ button in the top right corner of your Instagram profile. From there, tap Settings > Accounts Center.

From Accounts & profiles, press the button that shows your name and the accounts linked. On the following page, tap your Facebook account.

Select Remove from Accounts Center. The following confirmation pages say pretty much the same thing, ensuring that you do indeed want to remove your Facebook account from the Meta Accounts Center. Press Continue > Remove [insert your Facebook name here].

Then follow these steps:

From Facebook:

1. Log in to Facebook and click Pages in the left menu.

2. From your Facebook page, click Settings.

3. Scroll down and select Instagram in the left column.

4. Click Connect Account, and fill in your Instagram username and password.

From Instagram:

1. Log in to Instagram and go to your profile.

2. Tap Edit Profile.

3. Under Public Business/Profile Information, select Page.

4. Choose the Facebook page you wish to connect to. If you don’t have one yet, tap Create a new Facebook page.

How to change a Facebook page linked to Instagram

Need to change the Facebook page linked to your Instagram account? Start by disconnecting the Facebook page you have connected:

1. Log in to Facebook and click Pages in the left menu.

2. From your Facebook page, go to Settings.

3. In the left column, click Instagram.
