Is the iPhone 13 bigger than iPhone 11 Pro Max?

Each come equipped with an OLED screen bigger than a 6 inches, these two smartphones are large, but well suited to those that love to consume videos or mobile gaming. However, while their size is comparable, their functionality is not!

iPhone 13 vs 11 Pro Max: excellent display but different screen sizes

It's hard to compete with the iPhone 11 Pro Max when it comes to screen size. Its 6.5-inch OLED screen is particularly pleasant to use, and the iPhone 13's screen is smaller in comparison, but actually the iPhone 13 screen is in fact better! It features a SUPER RETINA XDR OLED technology, and the smaller screen size is lighter as a result, weighing at just 174 grams compared to 226 grams for the iPhone 11 Pro Max.

When it comes to photography, the iPhone 11 Pro Max has the advantage thanks to its triple 12 Mpx sensor. The iPhone 13 only has a dual 12 Mpx sensor.

iPhone 13 vs 11 Pro Max: impressive performance in both smartphones

iphone 13 released 2 years after its competitor (in 2021 against 2019 for the iPhone 11 Pro Max), the iPhone 13 is logically equipped with more powerful components. This is the case of its A15 Bionic chip whereas the iPhone 11 Pro Max has an A13 chip only, which will have some limitation with Apple's next incoming software updates. In terms of storage capacity, the iPhone 13 is again the winner. It is available with 128GB, 256GB or 512GB where the iPhone 11 Pro Max starts with a smaller capacity at 64GB, then offers 256GB and 512GB as higher alternatives.

The iPhone 11 Pro Max is also difficult to use with one hand, but the bigger size provides a more enjoyable viewing experience with video content like streaming movies and series on your smartphone when on a long commute. It's performance still allows smooth fluidly when running applications too. Although older to the iPhone 13, it will have some slight disadvantage (arguably) in comparison to the newer models today when Apple releases new iOS updates, but the change will often be unnoticeable and only take visible effect years in the future. Excluding that factor aside, the 11 Pro Max will make is still a worthy smartphone against the iPhone 13 and the decision should be made on whether you prefer a larger screen or not.
